Hi Friends,

It's my birthday month! I'll be turning...cough...cough....ahem....years old on the 13th! I'll be celebrating on 10/11 at my Peck Slip Brunch! I hope to see you there! Here's what else I'm up to in October:

The Songbook Sessions

The first song of the Songbook Sessions, Margie, releases 10/3! It features Mike Davis and me doing a nice little harmony vocal.

Spotify, Apple, and the rest of the platforms determine how much people like a song within the first 48 hours of it releasing! If a song does well the first two days, the platforms determine that people like it, and they suggest it to more people. Forever. If it does poorly, the platforms decide people don't like it and they bury it. Forever! So pretty please, put it on repeat today!

Depending on where you live, the song may ALREADY be live. If it's already Friday for you, it's already live!

Repeal Day

For many years I've played at the Repeal Society's annual Repeal of Prohibition Party. This year the organizer is stepping back a bit due to a baby on the way, so I'm taking over the organizing duties. I'm working on finalizing a location and then I'll make an announcement with a ticket link, but please pencil in 12/5 on your calendar for the event if you're in the NYC area.

Album Releases

I'm currently working on scheduling album release shows for each volume of the Songbook Sessions. However one date is already scheduled: July 12 at Birdland for Volume 5!

It's a big deal for me to get a foot in the door at Birdland, so please put this on your calendar and plan to attend, or if you're not around NYC at the time, tune in for the livestream! Tickets aren't on sale yet, but as soon as I have a ticket link I'll share it. If we can sell the release party out quickly, I'm likely to get more opportunities at Birdland including potentially things for the big band!

I'll also announce other release events as I get them scheduled!
