Glenn Crytzer, Composer

 

04/06/09 - Glenn will visit with students in school districts south of Seattle this month to mentor young musicians and to help develop future audiences for contemporary music. The visits will be in conjunction with the world premiere of Crytzer's cello concerto by Joshua Roman with the Northwest Symphony Orchestra.

2/01/2008 - Glenn has begun work on a double concerto for violin and cello for the Hachidori Duo. The work will be premiered by the duo with the Orchestra of the Pines under the direction of Gene Moon.

10/01/2008 - Glenn's new work for amplified cello and drum set, entitled "Impromptu" will be premiered as a part of the TownMusic series at Seattle Town Hall by Joshua Roman and Jason Treuting. The premiere will take place on June 25, 2009. For tickets visit brown paper tickets.

08/25/2008 - Glenn's "Concerto" for violoncello and orchestra will be premiered by Joshua Roman with the Northwest Symphony Orchestra on April 25, 2009. For more information visit the Northwest Symphony's website or to purchase tickets visit brown paper tickets.

06/01/2008 - Glenn has officially been named as the new music librarian at the Seattle Opera, where he will prepare music for the regular season performances as well as for the Summer 2009 production of the complete Ring Cycle.

01/14/08 - A new piece for amplified cello and piano, (as of yet untitled) will be premiered on the TownMusic series at Seattle Town Hall by Seattle Symphony Principal Cellist Joshua Roman.
